At the age of twenty, Bogdan left Poland following the tragic events surrounding his father's murder by the militia. He ended up in France, where fate led him to the Parisian mime school of the legendary Marcel Marceau. Marceau recognized his talent and appointed him as his assistant. After a successful career abroad, Bogdan returned to his hometown of Bolesławiec for a well-earned retirement. There, he eventually discovered a flair for the stage in his six-year-old granddaughter, Blanka. He decided to pass on his knowledge and experience by teaching her the art of mime.
